Each year, the San Antonio Chapter of the American Advertising Federation hosts the local awards of the American Advertising Awards where advertising, marketing and creative agencies from across the city are honored for their work. Hosted at the Witte Museum, this year’s “American Advertising Awards event was “Keep It SA” themed, with a focus on celebrating local agencies and honoring the vibrancy of our community’s advertising strategists and designers. Guests donned Alamo city inspired attire and experienced lively entertainment and even a guest appearance from the San Antonio Spurs Coyote. During the 2025 American Advertising Awards “ Keep It SA”, The CE Group was honored to win two Silver ADDY awards for their designs on significant client milestone projects.
Silver ADDY for The EMBREY Way 50th Special Edition
Our client, EMBREY, celebrated 50 years in business in 2024, and worked with our Creative team to develop a timeless piece of collateral to tell the story of their timeline, accomplishments, awards, and celebrations throughout the years. Our Creative team created a key pattern that represents each community, apartment, family and dream EMBREY has accomplished over the past 50 years. Choosing gold foil to be part of the cover was key as it is the color of success, as well as the traditional color of a 50th anniversary. For the centerspread, we focused on the most significant highlights of EMBREY’s history, from Walter Embrey, Jr starting the company in 1974, to the creation of UTSA’s EMBREY’s Real Estate Finance & Development Program in 2015, to the company completing 50,000 homes by 2024. The EMBREY Way 50th Special Edition is a celebration of the company’s past, present and future, leaving a lasting impression for generations. The inside pages and overall concept incorporate clean design and attention to detail, aligning with the client’s brand values.
Silver ADDY for 1724 Gala: 300 Years of Remembrance
The Alamo Trust mission is to preserve the Alamo, the Shrine of Texas liberty, and to bring its unique story to life.1724 Gala: 300 Years of Remembrance, was a black-tie fundraiser commemorating 300 years of the Alamo’s history. Our Creative team was tasked with the event identity, concept, creation and production of all collateral. Our team put the Alamo Trust’s mission into action by creating an overall event identity that evoked the sophistication of the gala while pulling from the history of the Alamo. The toile pattern incorporated throughout was created to honor the illustrations found within the archives of the Alamo, and a newly discovered fresco painting within the church on the grounds was used to bring authenticity into design elements as well. Flecks of copper were discovered in the fresco in the church, which inspired our designers to add copper foil to the program and other collateral. From invitation, program, auction catalog and gift box to event signage, table collateral and many other elements, all pieces were consistently designed and intentionally included to reflect on the importance of the history, and to lead people to look to the future. These designs contributed to a well-themed event and aided in a record breaking fundraising success for the client.
We are truly honored to have received awards at the American Advertising Awards San Antonio for the work we did with these amazing clients.
