Bohanan’s Cocktails are a TRUE Work of Art

Bohanan’s Kicks Off Quarterly Art Event “Cocktails on Canvas”

An artist knows that creating a masterpiece takes patience, skill and the knowledge of how to combine colors and shapes in such a way that they flow seamlessly together. That same principle can be applied to the art of the Bohanan’s cocktail. Like a fine work of art, these specialty drinks are crafted to perfection using the finest ingredients to achieve an end result so well combined, it becomes impossible to discern any one part of the whole.

“It’s all about balance,” says Sasha Petraske, Bohanan’s cocktail consultant and world-renowned mix master. “A cocktail should never taste like any one of its ingredients.”

In 1999, Petraske was one of a small group of business owners and bartenders to start the current revival of classic cocktails. His training and consulting is coveted by bar owners across the country, but only a few select establishments are worthy of his talents.

Petraske has been training the staff at Bohanan’s Bar for the past several months, and creating cocktails that have become the toast of the town. Cocktails on Canvas will showcase his newest creations including the Northside Special and the Blackberry Gimlet.

Cocktails on Canvas will also feature the work of artist Louis Vega Treviño, who creates his visually stimulating masterpieces on none other than the cocktail napkin! He will be unveiling a design special to Bohanan’s that will match the look and taste of one of Petraske’s premium cocktails! The first of its kind at Bohanan’s, this event promises to titilate both the palate and the palette.
